The Broomfield Eagles will be playing at home against the Erie Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Broomfield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
Last Friday, Broomfield was able to grind out a solid win over Loveland, taking the game 61-51. Given Broomfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Loveland is ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Broomfield relied on the efforts of Will Lapham, who scored 12 points, and Andrew Effland, who scored 15 points. Joey Cook was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Erie scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Mountain Range with points to spare, taking the game 82-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Broomfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Erie, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Broomfield couldn't quite finish off Erie when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 55-52. Will Broomfield have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
