Oklahoma City S's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylen Sykes, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals. Sykes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Corbin Hamilton, who scored eight points.
McLain Science & Tech pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Oklahoma City S, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-19.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLain Science & Tech will face off against Metro Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oklahoma City S, they will head out on the road to take on Mount St. Mary at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
