After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Butler, the Troy Trojans were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Xenia by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35. This was payback for Troy, who suffered a 52-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Troy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Simone Adekoya, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adekoya has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kiyah Baker, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Troy's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Xenia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
Troy will take on Stebbins at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
