The Peekskill Red Devils lost against the Brewster Bears back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Peekskill was dealt a 56-28 loss at the hands of Brewster.
Peekskill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Azarriyah Ashley, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Ashley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Peekskill's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Brewster, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peekskill won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Riverside at 4:45 p.m. on December 20th. Brewster will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Byram Hills at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
