It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the IMG Academy White Ascenders had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by Ambassadors Christian Academy at home to the tune of 50-12. Considering IMG Academy White has won nine contests by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
ALEX NEURA looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 72 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. ERIC HUANG was another key contributor, throwing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.
IMG Academy White has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Southeast and 1-8 Southeast (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24.3% over those games). As for Ambassadors Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17-1.
IMG Academy White will look to defend their home field on November 24th against Specially Fit Academy at 7:00 p.m. Ambassadors Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
