Shady Side Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  take on the Freeport Yellowjackets at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 On Monday, Shady Side Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  victory over Freeport.
  David Dillon made a splash no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Dillon has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Dillon was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Dillon wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Zachary Barber, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Shady Side Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Freeport,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-6.
