The ISchool of Lewisville Cougar waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 64-52 win over R.W. Goines Stem Academy. For iSchool of Lewisville, this counts as revenge for the 61-57 defeat the walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
ISchool of Lewisville was led to victory by Ashton Taylor-Franklyn and David Iweze. Taylor-Franklyn dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Iweze almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Iweze is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 21 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kal-El McNeilly, who scored eight points.
ISchool of Lewisville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for R.W. Goines Stem Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-11.
ISchool of Lewisville will head out on the road to square off against Dynamic Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dynamic Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games. As for R.W. Goines Stem Academy, they and the will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Universal Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the are ranked 123rd).
