When it comes to explaining why Gaylord lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Gelow. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Gelow scored a full 42.1% of Gaylord's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Will Bethuy was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Benzie Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Gaylord, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Benzie Central will head out on the road to face off against Kingsley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaylord, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hillman's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
