LEANNA CLARK was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on LILY JERNIGAN, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. MURPHI BLADE was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Citrus ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tavares, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hurricanes have posted since April 15, 2025.
Haley Pullen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makaila Anderson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Citrus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Citrus, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
