Jeff Davis has won seven straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Worth County has won seven straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Yellowjackets will host the Rams at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Jeff Davis took their game with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over Rutland. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellowjackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 380th).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jeff Davis' defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by RJ Simms and Jaylen Wilson-Gamble, who racked up all four sacks between them. Simms is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Latrell Sellers was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending four passes.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Worth County against Bacon County on Friday as the squad secured a 52-14 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-0.
Jeff Davis better focus on containing Kaden Chester and Lyndon Worthy as the pair were huge in Worth County's win. Chester rushed for 105 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries, while Worthy threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards Chester has posted since back in August. Tray Matthews got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Worth County proved: they limited Bacon County to a paltry -0.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Brady Weaver for the heroic effort on defense: he. Worth County's ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.
Worth County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Matthews, Dewhite Council, and Chance Sims picked up one apiece. Worth County got some further help from Weaver: he made ten total tackles (5.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
Worth County's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Jeff Davis, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Jeff Davis has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 369.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Worth County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 160.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Jeff Davis took a serious blow against Worth County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 62-17. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Yellowjackets were down 41-10.
