Baseball Recap: Louisburg Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Louisburg put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Vance County. The Warriors blew past the Vipers 23-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

John Lucas Anselmo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Leonard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Louisburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Louisburg pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vance County, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Louisburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 22-6 win against Warren County on the 2nd. As for Vance County, they will take on Vance Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
