Division II - West recap October 22, 2013
Sanborn Regional was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Kearsarge. The Indians came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Monadnock added to the longest winning streak in Division II - West this week by beating Milford, 56-14. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Huskies.
Drew Bolewski was a force in the backfield as Monadnock topped the Spartans.
John Morris threw for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 8-12 with 1 interception.
Bolewski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Linwood Patnode's team defeated Milford.
Morris put up the best numbers through the air as Sanborn Regional bested the Cougars. Morris' favorite target this week was Jackson Morton, who caught 2 passes for 81 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Brandon Carland. The ConVal star has 19 catches for 195 yards.
The Huskies' Bolewski needs only 58 yards against Kearsarge next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Bolewski has rushed for 942 yards on 119 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Monadnock takes on Zach Matthews' team. The Huskies are currently in first, while the Cougars are in third.
Monadnock took down the Spartans 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bolewski ran for 311 yards and caught 1 pass for 23 yards during the win.
