This year's Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team features 20 players headlined by top-ranked sophomore Cameron Boozer, top-ranked junior Tre Johnson and highly-regarded senior D.J. Wagner.
While other stars are sure to rise into the national spotlight throughout the 2022-23 campaign, read on for a look at 20 of the top names to watch heading into the season.
First Team
6-9 | Forward | Sophomore (2025)
MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.2 blocks to lead the Explorers to the state title in Florida's highest classification last season.
6-7 | Wing | Senior (2023)
No. 3-ranked prospect in the senior class averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds as a junior to lead the Panthers to the Class 5A state title last year. Kentucky pledge had a team-high 20 points in the title game.
6-4 | Guard | Junior (2024)
MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year averaged 19.8 points, five rebounds and four assists to navigate the Cardinals to the CHSAA Class AA state title in 2021-22.
6-5 | Guard | Junior (2024)
Top-ranked junior prospect averaged 23.7 points and 5.7 rebounds to lead the Wildcats to the third round of the Class 6A state tournament as a sophomore.
6-3 | Guard | Senior (2023)
Averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.3 assists to guide the Panthers to the Tournament of Champions title game. Wagner is regarded as the No. 2 prospect in the senior classification.

6-10 | Center | Junior (2024)
Breakout sophomore campaign and summer saw Bidunga rise to the No. 4 spot in the Class of 2024 rankings. He averaged 17.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 5.3 blocks to lead the Wildkats to the Class 4A state semifinals.
6-9 | Wing | Senior (2023) Highly-skilled Brewster Academy (Wolfesboro, N.H.) transfer is regarded as the No. 7 prospect in the senior classification. He is expected to be the catalyst for the No. 2-ranked team in the National Top 10.
6-3 | Guard | Senior (2023)
Top-ranked senior prospect averaged 19 points, 6.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals to help the Wildcats reach the GHSA Class AAAAAA state quarterfinals. Collier looks to win his third state title with the program.
6-8 | Forward | Senior (2023)
Texas pledge was a key cog in the Panthers run to the national title last season, earning MaxPreps National Junior of the Year honors after averaging 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and two steals.
6-8 | Forward | Senior (2023)
Duke-bound forward tallied 19.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a junior to lead Gill St. Bernard's to the NJSIAA North Non-Public B title game. Mgbako joined top-ranked Roselle Catholic in the off-season.

Paint anchor averaged 8.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocks for a team that finished the season in the top 10 nationally last season. Kentucky signee showed development in his offensive game over the summer.

Top 50 Kansas-bound guard averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds at Fort Bend Elkins. Johnson leads the top-ranked Eagles backcourt this season.
6-2 | Guard | Senior (2023) Duke commit helped guide the Huskies to the No. 2 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25, averaging 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from 3-point range last year.
6-8 | Forward | Senior (2023)
Earned second team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors after averaging 20.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, 4.6 blocks and 2.3 steals for Windermere last season. Stewart headlines a loaded frontcourt for the three-time defending national champions.
6-4 | Guard | Senior (2023)
Top 30 North Carolina pledge Averaged 17.5 points, 7.1 assists and 6.5 rebounds to guide the Lions to the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions title as a junior.

6-10 | Center | Senior (2023)
Top 10 Michigan State commit is expected to have a breakout season for nationally-ranked Cathedral this season. Booker averaged 12.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks as a junior.
6-3 | Guard | Senior (2023)
Kentucky commit has amassed over 2,900 points during his career after averaging 25.5 points, 7.6 assists, 6.8 rebounds and 4.4 steals last year.
6-6 | Wing | Junior (2024)
First
team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America selection averaged 22 points, six
rebounds and four assists to lead the Gaels to Baltimore Catholic League
championship.

Top 20 Baylor commit earned second team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors last season after averaging 23.3 points and 7.6 rebounds to lead McKinney to an appearance in the Class 6A state title game.
6-2 | Guard | Senior (2023)
After spending his last two seasons playing high school basketball in North Carolina, the top 20 Memphis pledge returns to where it all started. Williams scored 77 points in a game during his freshman campaign for the Cougars.
