Mountain Heritage walked away with a 66-55 win over Madison on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Among those leading the charge was Max Gilley, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Roy, who scored 13 points.
Mountain Heritage pushed their record up to 8-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Heritage will square off against Draughn at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to square off against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
