Alivia Bruce posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, Bruce and Christchurch School will take on Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coming in off a loss to Cape Henry Collegiate in their last outing, the Bulldogs are looking for some redemption. Will the Seahorses have enough to fend them off?
