Moorhead entered their tilt with Alexandria on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Spuds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Moorhead's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Alexandria, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Moorhead will square off against Sheyenne at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alexandria, they will face off against Detroit Lakes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.86 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
