Calvary Chapel Christian Academy strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Winston Eagles with a sharp 42-22 victory. The Archangels pushed the score to 37-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronnie Marvell led the charge by going 8-for-17 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Marvell also posted a 47% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Timothy Macasadia, who posted four points along with seven assists and five boards.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's record now sits at 4-0. As for Winston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Calvary Chapel Christian Academy and Gateway Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Winston, they will welcome McCauley Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
