Softball Recap: St. Genevieve Has No Trouble Against California Lutheran

With a playoff win on the line, St. Genevieve rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over the California Lutheran C-Hawks. Considering the Valiants have won seven matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Genevieve's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for California Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Genevieve nor California Lutheran have any future games scheduled.
