Episcopal will look to defend their home turf on Friday against St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close match.
Episcopal fought the good fight in their overtime matchup last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to St. Michael 7-14. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Episcopal was outplayed the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, St. Thomas Aquinas had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against The Church Academy as the team secured a 49-12 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
St. Thomas Aquinas's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Episcopal's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if St. Thomas Aquinas can add another positive mark to their record or if Episcopal can shake off the loss and take the spring out of St. Thomas Aquinas's step.
