With a playoff game on the line, the Brennan Bears rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 36-14 margin over the Bears. The win was nothing new for Brennan as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Brennan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micai Thompson, who rushed for 71 yards and three touchdowns. Jason Love was another major influence, as he rushed for 53 yards and ran in a TD.
Despite the loss, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo still got an impressive performance from Jorge Alanis, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Brennan's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Brennan is on the road again on Friday and play against Lake Travis at 3:00 p.m. on November 24th. Lake Travis is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
