After flying high against the Pine Ridge Thorpes back in December of 2023, the Todd County Falcons came back down to earth. Todd County was beaten by Winner 62-28 on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Todd County in their matchups with Winner: they've now lost seven in a row.
It was another big night for Keelie Kuil, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists for Winner. Kuil continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karlee Brozik, who scored ten points.
Todd County now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Winner, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Todd County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Red Cloud at 5:30 p.m. Red Cloud will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Winner, they will head out on the road to face off against Gregory at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gregory will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Winner is ranked 21st).
