The Harding Presidents will head out on the road to take on the Shepaug Valley Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Harding's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 82-70 to Wilby. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Harding still had to take the loss.
Jamaar Wright Jr. put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Craig Chandler was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Shepaug Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Gilbert, posting a 98-43 victory at home. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Shepaug Valley with their most commanding win of the season.
Harding has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Shepaug Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
