After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Hamilton, Spring Lake was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Holland Dutch  a   19-0 shutout. That looming  19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lakers yet this  season.
 Ava Twa was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Twa was also solid in the batter's box,  earning one  RBI, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Khloe Melinn was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paige Scholtens, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
With the  victory, Spring Lake broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-14. As for Holland,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
Spring Lake will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dutch: the pair will be back at it again later today.
