Basketball Recap: Sound Christian Piles Up the Points Against Rainier Christian

Sound Christian won the last time they faced Rainier Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sound Christian Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rainier Christian Mustangs 53-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Leading Sound Christian to victory were Abby Mesler and Bella Swazer. Mesler went 10 of 24 on her way to 21 points and seven steals, while Swazer made all 7 shots she took to post 17 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Swazer a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaila Brogan, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Rainier Christian still got an impressive performance from Nola Russell, who put up 12 points.

Sound Christian's record now sits at 2-0.

Sound Christian will venture away from home to challenge Evergreen Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Rainier Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Auburn Adventist at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rainier Christian is facing Auburn Adventist at the right time seeing as Auburn Adventist is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
