It was a good run, but the NSU University Sharks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Andrew's. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, NSU University still got an impressive performance from Anthony Ferrer, who scored 23 points. The game was Ferrer's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Dwight Gaines was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
NSU University's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Saint Andrew's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
NSU University will head out on the road to face off against Ransom Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ransom Everglades will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while NSU University is ranked 67th). Saint Andrew's road trip will continue as they head out to face Western at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th.
