This season hasn't been kind to the Mayer Wildcats, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 72-32 loss at the hands of Anthem Prep. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mayer in their matchups with Anthem Prep: they've now lost three in a row.
Rithik Kolli was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Motter, who scored 16 points.
Mayer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Anthem Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Mayer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Phoenix Day School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Wednesday. As for Anthem Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Sequoia Pathway Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
