The Rye Neck Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Blind Brook Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Rye Neck sitting on three straight wins and Blind Brook on seven.
Rye Neck's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Dobbs Ferry 13-0. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Davey Ryan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Rye Neck is undefeated when Ryan allows one or fewer hits, but 5-8 otherwise. Ryan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Ben Gellman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Chris Cervantes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Rye Neck was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Blind Brook narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hastings 4-3.
Asher Toll tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alejandro Pena, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daniel Glantz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Blind Brook's record is now 12-3. As for Rye Neck, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rye Neck has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Blind Brook struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rye Neck skirted past Blind Brook 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
