Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over West Carroll. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Kyleigh Baker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lilly McGee was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Madison Holder, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Carroll only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McEwen). They blew past East Hickman County 12-0 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Like Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, McEwen also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Lastovka. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Lastovka has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, McEwen got a big performance out of Laila Downs-Darden, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Lena Holt was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for McEwen, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
