Milaca's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Coleton Kiel, who scored five points. Another player making a difference was Landon Hasz, who scored six points.
Pequot Lakes' win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.8 points. As for Milaca, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-7 record last season and are now at 1-8.
Pequot Lakes will head out on the road to face off against Foley at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Foley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Milaca, they will be playing at home against Braham at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Braham and Milaca are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
