The Stark County Rebels are on the road again on Monday and plays the Henry-Senachwine Mallards at 6:00 a.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, Stark County came up short against the Tornadoes and fell 39-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stark County in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Henry-Senachwine suffered a tough 65-41 defeat at the hands of the Crusaders on Friday. While losing is never fun, Henry-Senachwine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Crusaders are ranked 281st).
Stark County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Henry-Senachwine, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
Stark County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Mallards in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stark County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
