The Colorado Academy Mustangs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Denver Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Colorado Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Colorado Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex May, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Johnson, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals.
Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Denver Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Colorado Academy will be playing at home against Green Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Green Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Tuesday. As for Denver Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Forge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
