Liberty Ranch will be up against a hot Bradshaw Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Pride put the hurt on Union Mine with a sharp 37-16 win on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 30, 2022, but that streak is no more.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bradshaw Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Gordon, who rushed for 55 yards and two TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Hatcher, who gained 93 total yards and a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bradshaw Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 240 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 46-14 victory over El Dorado. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.
Bradshaw Christian better keep an eye on Ryan Ogas. He was instrumental in Liberty Ranch's win, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. They also got a significant boost from Joe Lara, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
Liberty Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Eston Tucker and Lara.
Liberty Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Bradshaw Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Bradshaw Christian has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 312 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Liberty Ranch struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 394.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Bradshaw Christian against Liberty Ranch in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-9 victory. Will the Pride repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
