After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Natchez finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the North Pike Jaguars. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Chris Sewell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Natchez now has a losing record of 8-9. As for North Pike, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Natchez will face off against Wesson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Natchez has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for North Pike, they will take on Natchez at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
