The Heartland Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Outreach Christian Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heartland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 273 points over their last four matches.
Last Tuesday, Heartland humbled Overland Christian with a 72-31 victory. With Heartland ahead 41-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Heartland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Stone, who scored 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Maiden, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-12, which was the final score in Outreach Christian's tilt against Center Place back in November. Outreach Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-10.
Heartland's victory bumped their season record to 4-1 while Overland Christian's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
