The Sullivan Golden Arrows will challenge the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sullivan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Sullivan took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past South Putnam 8-1. Considering the Golden Arrows have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ty Hamilton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
In other batting news, Paul Ridgeway and Hunter Mason did most of the damage at the plate: Ridgeway got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Mason went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave Ridgeway a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AdAm Mckinley, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Sullivan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Putnam struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Eastern Greene came up short against Shakamak on Tuesday and fell 6-1.
Eastern Greene saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saxton Pennycuff, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Pennycuff is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Sullivan pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Eastern Greene, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Eastern Greene's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sullivan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. It's a different story for Eastern Greene, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Sullivan's hitters?
Sullivan beat Eastern Greene 9-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Golden Arrows have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
