The Harvard Cardinals's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Franklin 32-30. For Harvard, this counts as revenge for the 48-36 loss Franklin walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Harvard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cody Fishler, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Santiago Gabriel was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Haack and Eldon Haack. Haack almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Haack almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gregory Boettcher, who scored six points along with two steals.
Harvard's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvard will take on Lawrence-Nelson at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harvard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elba at 7:30 p.m. Franklin is on an 11-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Elba a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
