The University School Preppers will venture away from home to square off against the Walsh Jesuit Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. University School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
University School came out on top against Washington on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Preppers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Preppers.
University School got a great performance from Lucas Clavijo as he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Bobby Berglund was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Moss, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Walsh Jesuit sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Medina on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Battling Bees recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Anthony Alberty looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Mansbery, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
University School's record now sits at 23-5. As for Walsh Jesuit, their record is now 12-6-1.
Walsh Jesuit's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: University School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. It's a different story for Walsh Jesuit, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain University School's hitters?
University School came out on top in a nail-biter against Walsh Jesuit in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Preppers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
