Dr. Maya Angelou Community fell just short of Santee by a score of 44-42. Dr. Maya Angelou Community has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Santee found their leader in underclassman Darnell Miller, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Emiliano Chavez, who scored nine points.
Dr. Maya Angelou Community's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Santee, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will take on Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Angeles has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Santee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
