The Gracemont Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They suffered a tough 74-48 defeat at the hands of Lookeba-Sickles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gracemont of the 90-61 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Lookeba-Sickles found their leader in underclassman Nathan Morris, who dropped a double-double on 42 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Morris has scored at least a third of Lookeba-Sickles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Helmuth, who scored five points along with two steals.
Gracemont's defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Lookeba-Sickles, their win ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-20.
Gracemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hinton at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Lookeba-Sickles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
