Centauri put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 65-51. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-41 back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centauri to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Bagwell, who went 10-for-14 on his way to 21 points and five boards. Troy Sowards was another key player, going 7-for-14 en route to 14 points.
Centauri was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montezuma-Cortez only racked up six assists.

Centauri's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 13-5.
Centauri has already played their next matchup, a 66-50 victory against Bayfield on the 8th. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-48 win against Alamosa on the 8th.
