Baseball Game Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. East Leopards

Jordan is a perfect 3-0 against East since May of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers will look to defend their home field against the Leopards at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Jordan's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Brighton hitters got past them. The Beetdiggers fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 10-9 on Friday.

KODY KEMP and JAYDEN MONTOYA did some serious damage despite the final result: KEMP got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while MONTOYA went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. KEMP is becoming a predictor of Jordan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was CJ SUMNER, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

East couldn't beat Alta on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Leopards came up short against the Hawks, falling 11-4.

East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Lunt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Dylan Treend also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

East's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

East's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jordan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for East, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Jordan's hitters?

Everything went Jordan's way against East in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Jordan made off with a 9-1 victory. Will the Beetdiggers repeat their success, or do the Leopards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
