The Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots will be playing at home against the Milton Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mount Pisgah Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
Mount Pisgah Christian pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-59 to Galloway. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), Mount Pisgah Christian still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Milton can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Denmark on the road to the tune of 69-33. The victory was familiar territory for Milton who now have nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nya Smith, who scored 27 points along with two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Milton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Walker, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Mount Pisgah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Milton, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2.
Mount Pisgah Christian suffered a grim 59-36 defeat to Milton when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can Mount Pisgah Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
