The Konawa Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Stonewall Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Konawa was beaten by the Wolverines 82-45. While losing is never fun, Konawa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Wolverines are ranked 122nd).
Meanwhile, Stonewall unfortunately witnessed the end of their 22-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Allen by a score of 50-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stonewall has scored all season.
Konawa's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12. As for Stonewall, their defeat ended a 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-1.
Konawa came up short against the Longhorns in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 44-37. Can Konawa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
