D.J Overson Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Cyprus got the W thanks in part to D.J Overson playing the best football he has all season. Overson rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Overson has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 136.4 passing yards per game.

Britton Jepsen Puts an End to Cyprus' Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Britton Jepsen, Cyprus said goodbye to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Jepsen was excellent on Friday, picking up 201 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (102) per game. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 62 yards.
On the year, Jepsen has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 102 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Sunia Fifita Goes Supernova in Granger Victory
Sunia Fifita posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.
The win (which was Granger's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5. Fifita and Granger will venture away from home to square off against Box Elder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Uha Malekamu Turns in Season-Best Performance
Cyprus's 12-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Uha Malekamu. Malekamu turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss). He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.
On the year, Malekamu has averaged 16 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.9 total tackles per game.

Gio Polanco Has Career-Day on Friday
Gio Polanco produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Jordan to the win on Friday. Polanco rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the fifth in a row for West Jordan, bringing their record for this year to 6-4. Polanco and West Jordan will take on Wasatch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
