It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the University Wildcats can now relate to. They fell to the Mustangs 52-48. University was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arleta apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Nasir Ledwith, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ian Uriarte, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
University has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Arleta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10.
University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arleta, they will take on Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Poly is coming into the matchup with four straight wins on the road, so Arleta is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
