There's no place like home for Benicia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by the Berean Christian Eagles to the tune of 69-40 on Thursday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Benicia had a senior duo take command as Ayden Thompson went 5 for 11 to rack up 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals and Jackdan Eyike almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. What's more, Eyike also posted a 56% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Jordan Maravilla was another key player, putting up eight points.

Benicia now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Berean Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benicia will host Ygnacio Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Ygnacio Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Berean Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Miramonte at 7:00 p.m. Miramonte knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Berean Christian likes a good challenge.
