In what's become a running theme this season, the Hooper Bay Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 78-55 margin over Chevak. The win was familiar territory for Hooper Bay who now have five in a row.
Leading Hooper Bay to victory were Latrell Lake and Carson Long. Lake scored 30 points, while Long scored 31 points. Long is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jerome Nukusuk, who scored eight points.
Hooper Bay's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Chevak, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Hooper Bay and the Wolfpack will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Unalakleet's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Chevak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
