Otsego has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Rossford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Otsego suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Genoa Area on the road and fell 62-25. While losing is never fun, Otsego can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while Genoa Area is ranked 348th).
Sophie Dimick put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Rossford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 37-23 to Fostoria. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rossford in their matchups with Fostoria: they've now lost four in a row.
Otsego dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.9 points per game. As for Rossford, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
