Even though Pike County has not done well against Crawford County recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Pike County walked away with a 56-45 win over Crawford County.
Pike County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tyson Trawick, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, and Damarien Ross, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Trawick continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Fletcher, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Jasper County strolled past Washington-Wilkes with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jasper County.
Pike County's win lifted them to 3-2 while Crawford County's loss dropped them down to 2-4.
Pike County was taken down by Jasper County 72-18 when the teams last played back in January. Can Pike County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
