The Lourdes Eagles will challenge the St. Charles Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lourdes 3.9, St. Charles 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Lourdes barely beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 9-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Cougars since April 23, 2022.

Lourdes got a great performance from Michael Seger as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Seger has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brayden Kottschade was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Gasner, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Cotter hit St. Charles with a four-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Saints have lost by just one run.
Evan O'Bryan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Bryndon Koeppel, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
This is the second loss in a row for St. Charles and nudges their season record down to 6-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Lourdes, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Lourdes skirted past St. Charles 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
